Ivaldi Dario - Italy
100 years and four generations. That is the legacy of Ivaldi, a small production winery in the Monferrato area of Piedmont, Italy. Situated in a farmhouse originally built by great-grandfather Guido, the family has always maintained the vines surrounding it. Now headed by Andrea Ivaldi, a jovial kindhearted man, the wines of Ivaldi exude not only Andrea’s passion for winemaking, but also the wisdom of his father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Family run, they work the vineyards and winery by hand as much as possible. Made with native yeast fermentation, their wines are representations of classic wines from the Monferrato. Their clay and calcareous soil provides their wines with more structure and personality. Through their selection and wide variety of wines, one can easily cover a range of pairings, occasions and tastes, from their bubbly Alta Langa champagne method wine, to their red Barbera d’Asti and Nizza (like a Barbera riserva), to their sweet wines like Moscato d’Asti and Brachetto d’Acqui, there is a little bit for everyone.
Ivaldi crafts their wines in a sustainable and ecologically ethical manner. They are certified with SQNPI for their sustainable farming practices.
