Cantina Braschi 1949

Tucked away in the Romagna hills not far from the seaside, Cantina Braschi has a beautiful and rich history that shines a light on native grape varietals such as Sangiovese, a red grape which adapts to its terrior, producing different types of wine depending on where it was cultivated, and Albana - first white DOCG in Italy which produces complex whites with racy acidity, interesting orange wines, thanks to its thick skin, as well as the traditional sweet Albana wines.

A hidden gem in their portfolio is Famoso, a grape varietal that has surfaced since its rediscovery in 2001 by a local farmer: Famoso, or as Jancis Robinson called it - “not (yet?) famous,” is a white grape varietal that is making its comeback, thanks to the wine making traditions of using local varietals and low-intervention traditional farming and wine-making.
